It's interesting reading this Dean, because of what we now know about canon Dean relating to Sam. It bugs me a little bit how canon Dean is about the powers, though a friend said to me that for him they come off as self-destructive on Sam's part. I expect that given their origin it's likely true, but I really like seeing them come into play in any case. :) And wow, the idea of the powers allowing Sam to take back power for both of them from the curse is extremely powerful. The emotional punch of this piece is really something. You have a deft touch with emotionality (and also suspense, though that doesn't apply here) in your writing. :)
