I expect gender politics to suck (it's superhero! genre), but we also want to go see it based on three things: One: we love Will Smith, adore him madly. Two: the previews imply some undercutting of superhero conventions...*Three*....because a black man is cast as a superhero while incorporating some of the stereotypical elements of racist characterization of black men (homeless?)......
I don't know anything about Supreme Power--but the previews for Hancock caught our eye immediately.
And the reviews aren't even dealing with what was apparently (to us) so very very very very very clear in the previews??????????????
